It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Christopher (“Cric”) at home, on Friday, May 10, 2019. Christopher is the infinitely loved son of Sandy and Brian, and adored and dearly loved brother of Ali and Victoria and brother-in-law Mostafa. Deeply loved by his grandparents Wes and Dot Eardley, and Albert and Madalene (predeceased) Scholes. Loved and cherished by his Great Auntie Junie (predeceased) Great Auntie Marge, Great Auntie Rach, Uncle Wayne and Auntie Karen, Uncle Bob and Auntie Sandy, and his cousins Wesley, Michael and Ryan Eardley.
Christopher was a wonderful friend to many, some of whom he knew for most of his life, others met at college, and others who lived around the world. He recently began the welding program at Fleming College and was enjoying learning this new skill and conversing with his teachers.
He was a treasure, a pure soul. He had a brilliant, private mind. His intelligence, knowledge and understanding of so much in the world was truly awe-inspiring. He once said “I want to learn what I want to learn.” He educated himself in many ways.
Cric’s wit and humour were admired and appreciated by those who knew him. He was so funny, so quick with his wit, that you couldn’t help but laugh. “He was the funniest person I’ve ever met in my life.” “Mundane is a word that did not fit Chris at all.” “He was the most intelligent person I’ve ever met.” “Quite the exceptional human. I’m glad he picked us.”
His Spirit is now with God and with all of us who loved him. He is at peace. Please hold on to your memories of Christopher, and let them be full of light.
A Memorial service will take place on Saturday, June 8th, 2:00pm at St.John’s Church, Ida.
If desired, donations may be made in memory of Christopher to the Peterborough Humane Society, or the Canadian Mental Health Association. Condolences may be made at www.communityalternative.ca.
