Quietly and peacefully, in the presence of devoted family, Janet Aletha Clark left us on Saturday, March 14, 2020. Born on New Year’s Day of 1966, Janet gifted us a glorious, and surprising, 54-year run. Tough and resilient to the last, Janet triumphed over long odds and adversity from the very beginning. She was a model of resourcefulness and resiliency to all who had the great fortune to know her. Janet is survived by her mother, lifelong caregiver Helen (née Butts) of Peterborough, elder brother Richard Clark (Rosa) of Port Perry, and sisters Fara Riordan (Robert) of Ottawa and Mary Jean Clark-Campbell (Graham) of Peterborough. She was predeceased by father John (Jack) Clark, formerly of Brooklin and Kinmount. Janet will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews, grand and otherwise, as well as by her sprawling extended family. A private family gathering will occur in the near future. We encourage all to take a moment to remember Janet in their own way. Tributes and memories will be warmly appreciated on the Community Alternative’s website. Donations to the charity of your choice are gratefully welcomed. With much sadness, but also great hope for an eternity unfettered by earthly constraints, we say goodbye to our wonderful, sparkling, inspiring little scamp, Janet Clark, aunt.
